April 14, 1912 the Titanic set sail from its last harbor in Cobh, Ireland, and three days later hit an iceberg. For the 100 year Anniversary of the Titanic Cobh held festivities to honor those who died. The President of Ireland came to give a speech, the Navy held a march and a fleet review, choirs sang, the church bells of the cathedral rang out and the streets were packed. We decided to go check it out.
Andrew loved how the laundry was hanging out here, would've had to climb on the roof to hang it... |
I can't believe how big Avery is! And she's so cuuuute!
ReplyDeleteFunny to think of climbing on the roof to hang laundry, but they might have had a pulley system so they hang one from the window, slide it along, hang another, slide it, etc. I know I've seen pictures like that in old New York. And maybe even now?
Avery looks so cute!
